Does it cost anything for me to participate in this World record attempt? Back to list
No. On the day, if you want to donate a gold coin that would be great, but the event is free for all participants.
Will the World record attempt be on if it rains? Back to list
Yes, the event will proceed irrespective of the weather conditions on the day. We plan to have fun irrespective of the weather.
Do I need to bring my own basketball? Back to list
Yes please – we do not have the thousands and thousands of basketballs required for the World Record attempt. We are working with local retailers to ensure that discounted basketballs are also available for purchase before the event.
Do I need to be a basketball player to participate? Back to list
No. Anyone can participate from 5 to 75 – it’s easy, all you have to do is dribble (bounce) a basketball while standing in the one spot. Bring your family and friends of any age for a fun morning out, and don’t forget those basketballs.
Where exactly is the event being held? Back to list
The event is being held at the Staff Car Park at Erina Fair – entry off Terrigal Drive. Parking will be available at the normal car parking areas at Erina Fair.
Why do I need to pre-register on the website? Back to list
The Guinness world record people are very stringent on the process for registering and counting the number of people involved in setting this world record. By pre-registering, we will be able to more quickly check off your name on the day and give you an official wristband as a participant. This will minimize the queues on the day for the event.
What time does the world record attempt start? Back to list
The world record attempt only lasts for 5 minutes but the whole challenge runs from 9.30am to 11.00am to ensure we get all people registered etc. There will be entertainment and a number of free prizes on the day plus a couple of dry runs before the attempt. Come early and have some fun with us. We expect to run the World Record attempt at approximately 10.30am

These details will only be used to register you for the event and send you a reminder of the event. Once the World record attempt is completed, all registration information will be destroyed. Your details WILL NOT be sent to anyone else.
What if I want to become a sponsor or donate as an individual not a business? Back to list

We will have photography from the event on our website and this will be able to be downloaded as your momento of your participation.

No, as the World Record attempt will be finished by 11.00am and Erina Fair will be open for any refreshments you might want.
